PRIVACY POLICY
Переводы предоставлены для удобства. При расхождениях действует испанская версия.
This Privacy Policy explains how APBTPedigree.com (“APBTPedigree”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use the website, application, and related services (the “Platform”).
By creating an account, signing in (including with Google), subscribing, posting content, or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read this Policy together with the Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
This Policy complements, and does not replace, the Terms and Conditions or the Cookie Policy.
1. Data controller
The controller of personal data processed through the Platform is the operator of APBTPedigree.com. You may contact us through the support tools available on the Platform or the contact channels published on the site.
If you act on behalf of a kennel, company, or organization, you represent that you are authorized to provide that entity’s data and the data of people you represent to the extent needed to use the service.
2. Scope and who it applies to
This Policy applies to visitors, registered users, subscribers, marketplace advertisers, forum or messaging participants, and anyone whose data appears in pedigrees, profiles, or content published on the Platform.
Some dog, breeder, or owner data may be provided by third parties. Whoever publishes or edits that information is responsible for having a legitimate basis to do so.
3. Data we collect
Account data: first and last name, username, email, phone, address, profile photo, profile privacy preferences, and password (stored hashed/encrypted). If you sign in with Google, we receive identifiers and basic profile data Google provides (for example account id, email, name, and picture), according to the permissions you grant.
Usage and technical data: IP address, device and browser type, language, pages visited, Platform actions, access logs, session identifiers, and aggregated or pseudonymized audience metrics.
Pedigree and content data: genealogical information, photos, videos, documents, messages, forum posts, marketplace listings, claims, certification evidence, and support communications.
Payment and subscription data: membership status, payment or expiry dates, and transaction identifiers. Card or other payment method processing is handled by external providers (for example PayPal); we do not store full card numbers.
Cookies and similar technologies: as described in our Cookie Policy and according to the preferences you set in the consent banner, where applicable.
4. Purposes of processing
Provide and maintain the Platform: create and manage accounts, authenticate users (including Google OAuth), keep sessions, display pedigrees, profiles, forums, messaging, marketplace, certifications, claims, and breeding tools.
Manage subscriptions, billing, renewals, payment reminders, and membership-related support.
Improve security and integrity: prevent fraud, abuse, spam, unauthorized access, improper duplicates, and record manipulation; investigate reports and retain evidence when needed.
Communicate with you about the service, material changes, support replies and, where permitted by law and you do not object, Platform-related notices.
Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful authority requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Analyze Platform use in aggregated or pseudonymized form to improve performance, content, and user experience.
5. Legal bases
Performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps: when processing is necessary to provide the account, subscription, and features you request.
Legitimate interests: Platform security, fraud prevention, service improvement, integrity of the pedigree database, and defense of rights, balanced against your rights and interests.
Consent: when we ask for it specifically (for example certain non-essential cookies, or optional processing clearly indicated). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
Legal obligation: when we must retain or disclose data under applicable law.
6. Google sign-in
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google authenticates you and sends us a code or tokens needed to verify the session and obtain basic profile information under the authorized scopes (typically openid, email, and profile).
We use that data to create your account if it does not exist, link it to an existing email, or sign you in. We do not use your Google account to post on your behalf or to access content beyond the permissions granted.
Google’s use of your data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and terms. You may revoke app access in your Google account settings; that does not automatically delete your APBTPedigree account, which you must manage or request deletion through our service channels.
7. Visibility and data you make public
Depending on your profile and pedigree privacy settings, some information (for example username, contact details you allow, photos, or public records) may be visible to other users or, for public pages, to visitors and indexers.
You choose what to show when the Platform offers privacy controls. Do not publish third-party personal data without authorization. Content you make public may be indexed or reshared outside our control once disclosed.
8. Who we share information with
Providers that help us operate the service: hosting, databases, email, file storage, technical analytics, payment gateways (e.g. PayPal), and authentication (e.g. Google), under confidentiality obligations and only for the purposes described.
Other users or the public, when you publish content, make a pedigree public, or authorize contact details on your profile.
Authorities, courts, or third parties when legally required, under a valid request, or when necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Platform and its users.
We do not sell your personal data. A corporate control change may involve transferring data as part of assets, subject to this Policy or an equivalent notice.
9. International transfers
The Platform may operate with infrastructure or providers located in countries other than yours. When we transfer data internationally, we apply reasonable safeguards available (contractual clauses, technical and organizational measures, or equivalent mechanisms under the applicable framework).
10. Retention
We retain data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and maintain historical integrity of pedigrees and certifications where appropriate.
If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize associated personal data when possible. We may keep backups, audit logs, infringement evidence, or data required by law for limited additional periods. Pedigree information contributed to the community database may remain in de-identified or otherwise attributed form if needed for genealogical continuity, as described in the Terms.
11. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (access control, encryption in transit where applicable, password hashing, sessions, and monitoring) to protect data. No system is fully secure; you must also protect your credentials and devices.
If we detect an incident that materially affects your personal data, we will assess it and, where required by law, notify you and competent authorities.
12. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, rectify, update, object, restrict processing, request portability, withdraw consent, and request deletion of your personal data.
You can exercise many of these rights from your account (profile editing, privacy, password) or by contacting support. We may ask for identity verification and may refuse requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or incompatible with legal duties or database integrity.
If you believe processing violates data-protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country or place of residence.
13. Children
The Platform is intended for users eighteen (18) years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you learn that a minor has provided us data, contact us so we can delete it where appropriate.
14. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security and, where applicable, measurement. Category details and management options are described in the Cookie Policy at /cookies and in the consent banner.
15. Third-party links and services
The Platform may contain links to third-party sites or services (social networks, PayPal, Google, Telegram, etc.). Their privacy practices are their own; review their policies before providing them data.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect legal, technical, or service changes. We will publish the current version on this page with the relevant date. For material changes, we may notify you by reasonable means (for example an in-Platform notice or email).
Continued use of the Platform after an updated version takes effect means you have been informed of it, without prejudice to rights that cannot be waived.
17. Contact
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, use Platform support or the contact channels published on APBTPedigree.com. Include your username or account email to help us handle the request.
